About LEF

LEO Europa Forum (LEF) is the annual European Leo Convention. The event brings together leos from all over Europe and the Mediterranean countries, where they celebrate and discuss the future of the LEO movement for a whole week. It is a special experience because LEO members from different countries get to know each other during activities such as workshops, service activities or trips, as well as the meeting of the ILO (International Liaison Officers) from Europe and the Mediterranean area.

Before the LEF, a Leo Europa Pre-Forum (LEPF) takes places for one weekend in January. It is considered to be a teaser for the main event, where the participants get to experience just a taste of what will be the big forum in summer.

Last but not least, LEF is a great chance to get to know the landscape, culture and cuisine of the host country.

The Location

Romania is a hidden gem, located in southeastern Europe. The country offers beautiful landscapes, natural architecture, and artistic treasures. Romania is a country filled with many surprises, from delicious Romanian cuisines to unique places to explore.

LEF 2024 will take place in Cluj-Napoca, which is the second-most populous city in Romania, located in the northwestern part of the country. It is considered to be the unofficial capital of the historical province of Transylvania.  Cluj-Napoca is a box-of-treasures in Romania that has gained its place as an economic, cultural and innovation centre on a national and international level. It is a dynamic city with a very youthful vibe.

The Hotel

As one of the top hotels in our city, Grand Hotel Napoca is the place that will accommodate us all during our event. It is a 4 star hotel, located across the Central Park in Cluj and just a five minutes walk from the city centre.  For more information, you can visit their official page here

Transport

By plane

You can fly directly into Cluj-Napoca’s International Airport (CLJ), or to a nearby airport such as Sibiu (SBZ). If you decide to fly to Bucharest (OTP), we suggest to book a connecting flight to Cluj, as it is the most convenient way of getting here. We will only offer transport to the hotel from Cluj-Napoca International Airport!

By bus/train

If you arrive by plane in Sibiu, we suggest you take a bus to Cluj-Napoca. There are multiple bus stations in Cluj, so make sure to let us know as soon as possible where you will arrive. We do not recommend traveling by train, but if you do choose this way, Cluj-Napoca Train Station (Gara C.F.R.) is the place where you should arrive. From there a shuttle bus will bring you to the hotel.

By car

Drive safe! The address for the hotel is Octavian Goga 1, Cluj-Napoca 400698. Free parking will be provided at the hotel.
